The former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the attack on him and the Yoruba people by the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) on the visit paid him by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) after his release from Kuje Prisons.
he noted with deep concern the existing rivalry between the Yorubas and Igbos which he said the Hausa/Fulani often take undue advantage of for dominance.
It was recalled that the attack on the former Aviation Minister by MASSOB warning Ndigbo to be wary of the new-found friendship and solidarity from the Yoruba people and resorted to name-callings such as hypocrites and the like calling attention to the role played by the latter during the Civil War.
Femi said the Hausa/Fulani has been using both the Yorubas and Igbos because of disagreement, lack of trust, unhealthy rivalry, etc.
Reacting to MASSOB statement the former Minister wrote via @realFFK, his twitter handle, “Division, Suspicion, acrimony and unhealthy rivalry between the Igbo and Yoruba is the oxygen that gives strength to Northern hegemony.”
