Coordinator of National Affairs, Yemi Osinbajo signed the 2017 budget into law on Monday afternoon, the Presidency announced on Twitter.
The budget, which is tagged “Budget of Economic Recovery and Growth,” aims to pull Nigeria out of its recession, which began last year in the midst of falling oil prices.
According to the Nigerian Presidency’s Twitter account, Mr. Osinbajo signed the appropriation bill at 4:40 p.m. local time at the State House in Abuja.
But Osinbajo has this to say as he took to his twitter to announce that he has signed the budget into law."Nigeria belongs to all of us. No person or group is more important or more entitled than the other in this space that we all call home." pic.twitter.com/UkJECAq7Fx— Presidency Nigeria (@NGRPresident) June 7, 2017
