A retired Major in the Nigerian Army, Ken Chioma Obi has revealed that detained IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was once arrested by the federal government. Obi, 47, who retired from the Nigerian military 13 years ago for medical reasons, stated this in an exclusive interview with NAIJ.com over the weekend.
According to him, a serving senior officer in the Nigerian confided in him that Kanu was arrested by the then Obasanjo government but was later released. ''I have it on good authority by an intelligence chief whose name I'll not mention, that this is not the first time that Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested,'' Obi told NAIJ.com.
Obi stated that there is no big deal with any part of Nigeria demanding for their own country. According to him, his concern is that it should be done without any bloodshed.
