Louisa Egbunike has called the world's attention to the gory scenes of the horror of starving children, the constant stream of Biafran refugees during the historic Nigeria-Biafra civil war between 1967 and 1970.
Louisa, reports the BBC, from Manchester Metropolitan University, feels deeply concerned and worried by images of war and ghosts of the past in the Biafra territories lost to Nigeria in the heat of the war.
Particularly worried is the fact that the victims of the civil war numbering over one million were not given specific rights and rituals to give them a smooth and hitch-free passage to the realm of ancestors.
It is widely believed among the Igbo people of Nigeria that improper burial or to die and be buried outside their ancestral homeland impedes smooth passage to rest peacefully with the ancestors.
Millions of the spirits of these victims, according to Louisa Egbunike are still unable to journey to the next realm, and have been consequently roaming the earth to this day.
