After the declaration by IPOB that 40 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra were missing following the attack from the Nigerian security forces when they were returning from the burial of a family member, the Anambra State Police command admitted that it abducted some IPOB members.
The Police claimed that only 4 IPOB members had fallen into the police net for conducting a burial for one of their members.
While the Nigerian Police must account for the whereabouts of the remaining 36 IPOB members, they also admitted to have seized the belongings of the IPOB members which include: 14 Biafran flags, two metal gongs, one small bell, one helmet, four motorcycles, one Delica shuttle bus, one Suzuki bus and one Nokia phone.
A statement by the Anambra State police command said the suspects would be charged to court soon.
Having ignored the instruction from the African Union, the Nigerian Police still went ahead to address innocent Biafrans as Terrorists.
Their statement read: “Following the declaration of IPOB as a terror organization by the Federal Government on 20th September, 2017 and as part of the concerted effort of the Anambra State police command to rid the state of criminal elements, the command arrested four members of the group, while other members of the proscribed group fled to unknown destination.
“The arrested persons confessed to be members of IPOB and will be charged to court for prosecution.
It could be noted that while the Nigerian Police and all her security forces have failed to arrest the armed Fulani Herdsmen who have killed hundreds of innocent people across the failed contraption called Nigeria, but have always traced Biafrans to their homes and social gatherings to kill and intimidate them.
