The people of Okpanku community in Enugu province now live in fears as Fulani Herdsmen have ignited an attack on the community on Easter Monday and killed a security guard.
It was gathered that the incident has raised the security antennae in the community as youths are preparing to go all out against the Herdsmen.
According to community sources, “The Fulani herdsmen were openly moving their cattle around the community when suddenly the herders entered inside the compound of one Barrister Eric Ogudu and descended on the mangos in that compound.
“The security guard in that compound tried to persuade them to leave but they refused instead they drew their hatchet and gave him several cuts in his arms and shoulder.
In his pain he cried out to the community who gathered to meet him in the pool of blood.
The Fulani Herdsmen had fled into the bush as soon as they realized that the communities were trooping out.
