Northern Inter-Faith and Religious Organization Call for Peace without Justice

While Christians in Nigeria remained vulnerable to the attacks by terrorists especially the recent Jihad madness being implemented by Fulani Herdsmen, it is unbelievable that a group that identified themselves as Northern Inter-Faith and Religious Organizations for Peace, said their utmost interest is to help President Muhammadu Buhari to speak against Christians whom T.Y. Danjuma asked to defend themselves.

The group on condemned in strong terms the recent call by a former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. T.Y Danjuma (rtd) for arms revolt as a form of self-defense against the incessant alleged incursion of the herdsmen.

It has been confirmed that religion remained the primary source of Hypocrisy especially in Nigeria. To confirm this, at a World Press Conference with a theme: “Ethnic and Religious Crisis in Nigeria: The Place of Clerics in Peace Building”, Bishop Gabriel Obubah implored Nigerians to reject all false prophets calling on people to embrace arms.

As if it is not the right of the people to defend themselves when the government of the day have colluded with the terrorist to kill and destroy properties of owned by the masses.  He advised the populace to trash the recommendation of such Danjuma calling him the “prophet of doom” campaigning for chaos in the nation.

However, it is to be judged by the public, who actually is the “Prophets of doom? When the custodian of theology only derive interest in baptizing the public with their religious philosophy of peace at the expense of their fundamental human right.

The clerics failed to explain how peace can be achieved without justice as Danjuma only asked for justice which is embedded in the constitution of the failed contraption called Nigeria.

The same group whose members were asked not to depend on the government for security turned against their followers and backed the terrorist government against the people when they said:

“Our organization, in the strongest terms possible, twisted the facts in presence to condemn the call by a former Minister of Defence, retired Lieutenant General TY Danjuma, claiming he was triggering the call for people to take up arms against one another and by implication against the state.

This could just serve as one of those evidences that Nigeria has never worked, it is not working and will never work.
